How the Economy Affects Nanny the Industry

Ana, a nanny that works and lives just outside of Manhattan called Best Nanny Newsletter crying during the first week of October, 2008. Ana told me that her boss came home early during the week from his job on Wall Street and announced he had been fired, and that her employer could no longer afford to employ her.

I acknowledge working as a nanny for two parents that work on Wall Street is unsettling for me. If the economic recession has a trickle-down effect it will inevitably affect nannies. Nannies may lose jobs, but there may also be increase jobs as two parent families send both parents to work to bring in two incomes.

To share proper advice with Ana I asked a few nanny agency owners and nanny industry professionals if the economic recession is affecting their businesses and for their advice for nannies (like Ana) during this economic recession.

Katherine Leary Robinson, President of Beacon Hill Nannies, Inc. in Newton, Massachusetts says, “I recommend nannies back down their salary expectations 10-12%, if they are not seeing families actively pursuing them.”

Ms. Leary continues, “Live-in nannies are very fortunate in this horrible economic environment. As their only expenses are clothing and entertainment, they have not experienced the increase costs of rent, heating, food or gas. Please don’t forget the amount of money you save as a live-in nanny, here on the east coast. Live-in nannies are enjoying on average an additional ,000 a year in tax free benefits with free room, board, an insured car, and health insurance. You would have to be earning an additional ,000 year gross to net that ,000 for those live out expenses.”

Susan Tokayer, Owner and President of Family Helpers, Inc. in Dobbs Ferry, New York explains, “We have been slower both with our temporary service and long-term service for the past six-weeks, since the banking crisis hit. I would say we are doing about 30% less business than we were doing one-year ago. Most families are being cautious right now, so there isn’t as much activity as normal.”

Ms. Tokayer adds, “Everyone (nannies included) should have some money set aside for emergencies. If you were to suddenly be unemployed because your employer lost his/her job, you should have some money available to live on until you secure another position. Ideally, you want to have the equivalent of six-months of living expenses in savings. If you don’t have that amount, now is a good time to put some money aside for a rainy day. Finding a new job may take longer than usual in this economic environment.”

Glenn S. Greenhouse, Owner of Greenhouse Agency, Ltd. In New York says, “We have noticed a very slight decline which I believe is due to the current financial crisis we are all facing. However it is minimal.”

Mr. Greenhouse continues, “My advice to nannies would be to stay where you are if your job is secure. If your boss’s job is secure, don’t look for greener pastures. If you are seeking a job, don’t sell yourself short, but weigh job security as much as job compensation. It is a better decision taking a few dollars less with a family who will have their money tomorrow, than risk a job paying big bucks with a family who just made their money or who are working in a risky industry.”

Rachel Lawrence, Owner of Wilmington Nanny Agency LLC in North Carolina shares, “Things have slowed down some. Although you may be worth every penny, now might not be a good time to play hard ball about salary. Talk to parents and try to set up a plan for starting at a lower salary and then having a 90-day raise and a raise in one-year to get closer to the salary you were originally looking for. Once the family sees how wonderful you are, raises will be a lot easier to give than a high salary off the bat.”

Shannon Pitts, CEO of InteliMark Enterprises and GreatAuPair.com explains, “Some families are holding back on full-time care, seeking ways to reduce their childcare costs. We have more candidates seeking fewer available jobs now than this time last year.”

“Nannies seeking employment may find they are competing for fewer available positions and as such should consider the quality of their application. It would also be worthwhile to learn how to sell the skills they have to potential employers and enhance their interview skills,” explains the CEO of InteliMark Enterprises.

“Another option for nannies would be to consider organizing a nanny share between two families. This will help ensure the nannies procure full time hours while assisting families with the cost of childcare. Families will be looking for nannies that have the organizational and time management skills needed to make a nanny share a workable option for both families,” says Shannon Pitts.

Alicia Torchia, President and Placement Consultant of Careful Care Givers LLC which serves the New Jersey and New York tri state area writes, “I have seen a 5% decline in the volume of business we have brought in over this past year, these are families who are hiring us seeking nanny care services. I have seen an increase in families hiring us for infant care specialists. I have seen an increase in repeat business over all.”

Ms. Torchia adds, “I have seen an increase in professional nurses, teachers, and college graduates and even corporate persons entering the nanny field because they lost jobs in their field. I tell all the nannies in my network to try and not change a job in this economy because you never know when you are going to find another job that suits your needs.”

Sharon Toutant, Owner of A Better Nanny in Sierra Madre, California tells us, “We are seeing fewer families offering full-time positions. They often are using family for part of their caregiver needs and hiring part-time nannies. Many families are seeking our help in finding their nannies some other part-time work so they won’t lose someone valuable to their lives.”

Ms. Toutant says, “My best suggestion to nannies is to be extremely prepared and have your best information ready for that first interview. Present a well done concise resume, written references with phone numbers or other contact information for those references, a current DMV report and any criminal background check that you can present. Also present for examination any school transcripts, CPR and First Aid certification. Be the nanny who brings the best package to the table so the family will remember you as the best prepared.”

Lora Brawley owner of Brawley & Associates and AllAboutNannyCare.com in Federal Way, Washington adds, “I’ve seen a decline in the number of families purchasing consulting services. However, I still get about the same number of families looking to hire a nanny.”

      Ms. Brawley recommends that nannies:

1. Be prepared to jump into a job search. Don’t wait until the unthinkable happens before you start polishing your job search skills and developing your search portfolio.

2. Be prepared to have the “why are we paying you this much?” conversation. Every nanny should be able to clearly define the value they bring to a family.

3. Stay calm. Anxiety is contagious. It’s your responsibility as a professional to create and maintain a secure care giving environment. Plus it will make you feel better too!

Judi Merlin, President of A Friend of the Family Home Services, Inc. in Georgia answers, “Yes, our business is down, both short and long-term. We are recruiting for only specific areas and specific jobs, as we have enough caregivers to fill almost all the jobs we have.”

Pat Cascio, Founder and Director of Morningside Nannies in Houston, Texas explains, “Long-term placements are down. Temporary is down a bit. We have had fewer inquiries, fewer new clients, and fewer hires.”

Ms. Cascio says, “Nannies that are used to earning at the higher end of the salary range, may need to be a bit flexible about the salaries they are requesting. Some families that are involved in investments and banking are not earning they type of commissions that they are used to and thus money isn’t flowing as easily as it once may have. Other families may be watching their investments dwindle in the market and aren’t feeling very certain about their financial futures. When offered employment, nannies should consider themselves lucky to be getting a job offer and hope that when the financial situation turns around that their employer will be able to increase their salary. There have been a few stories recently about nannies not being able to find jobs in cities as large as New York. The London newspapers are reporting the same thing — when families cut back on expenses the nanny may be the first to go.”

Merrilan Kougias, CEO, Choose The Right Nanny, LLC in McKinney, Texas discloses, “We have seen a decrease in our live-in placements in markets such as New York. We have also noticed that families are not calling to interview candidates in a timely manner. Clients (on the East Coast) are not rushing to fill vacancies and seem to be taking a ‘wait and see’ approach.”

The CEO of Choose The Right Nanny continues, “If a nanny decides she must make a career change, she should try to be patient and flexible. A high end nanny may need to reduce her salary requirement or work smarter by using an agency to promote her job skills and salary requirements. Another point is to insist on a work agreement or contract between the employer and the nanny.”

Michelle Damas, CEO of Neverland Nannies & Domestics in Woodland Hills, California says, “Unfortunately, we have noticed a slight decline in business due to the economic recession. However, there are certainly still jobs available by those who the recession does not affect.”

Ms. Damas continues, “The recession doesn’t affect the majority of our type of clientele, but first time home buyers and (unfortunately) lower income households have to cut corners. On the brighter side, many families who still have secured employment still demand quality childcare for their children, offering continued career opportunities for professional nannies and child workers.”

“If any nannies are experiencing difficulties securing nanny positions, I would encourage them to take the following steps in order to increase their odds of finding a great opportunity and beating their competition:

1. Put together a quality nanny resume. Hint: List your qualifications in the beginning so they stand out from others. Try to only incorporate your childcare related positions, rather than non-relevant work experience. Families want to know what type of childcare experience you have more so than anything else.

2. Do not put all your eggs in one basket! I encourage all nannies to take the time to scope out the quality agencies in their area and interview with each and every one of them (don’t sign on to an agency exclusively). Without harassing the agencies, provide each with a weekly phone call/email letting them know that you are still in the market for a nanny position.

3. Remain competitive by keeping your salary requirements reasonable. Figure out what the going rate is in your area and then adjust accordingly. Be flexible, and professional.

4. If you can, be flexible with your schedule (and note it on your resume). If you are open to travel, overnight stays, and weekend, note that on your resume.

5. Try to go on the majority of interviews each agency offers you. Be on time to every interview and dress professionally. Bring a copy of your resume, your references (depending on the agencies policies), any letters of recommendation you may have, copies of your First Aid/CPR certifications, Trustline clearance and any other documents you may have that show your qualifications as a professional nanny.

6. Again, remain optimistic! All of that positive energy is bound to land you a great career opportunity.”

Anne Merchant of Teacher’s College for Professional Development and author of The Nanny Textbook explains, “The economic recession has impacted us. We waived all of our fees because the number of nannies registering for classes dropped-off dramatically. Now, because we have no fees at all our student count is higher than it has been in six-years. I would advise nannies to not make the mistake of assuming that you will never be laid-off. With the rate of foreclosures and the tumbling down of formerly well-respected banks and corporations (not to mention individuals and families that have lost a lot of money in the stock market) people are cutting back.”

             Ms. Merchant recommends, “To stay as marketable as possible, don’t work just on your education – work on getting additional credentials that can be added to your resume, such as;

1. Renew your CPR certification and include a copy of the certificate in your nanny portfolio.

2. Get a letter of recommendation from your current employer while you are currently working or ask your employer to complete an evaluation for you that can be included in your nanny portfolio.

3. Ask friends that are nannies if their employer needs an occasional evening nanny and if so request a letter of recommendation.

4. Take nanny classes like ours at Teacher’s College for Professional Development.

5. Find a way to volunteer to help out at an after school program, nursery school, a Gymboree, the local bookstore or library by conducting a “story hour,” or daycare. Volunteer for an adult or children’s literacy group, teaching English as a second language, or tutoring at an elementary school. Tell them up-front that you are building both your skills and your resume and you would like them to acknowledge your help by writing a letter of reference.”

Steve Lampert CEO of eNannySource.com a national nanny web site writes, “It’s a fact that there will be more nannies searching for fewer jobs, that makes it extremely important that each nanny be very professional and have a well written resume, dress appropriately and have good letters of reference. Also, respond quickly to all emails and calls and arrive on time for interviews.”

Jo Anne Reed, Owner of Estate Domestics, in Atlanta, Georgia suggests, “I would advise nannies to get seasonal jobs to subsidize their income while we get through this time.”

Hilary Lockhart, CEO and Founder of A+ Nannies, Inc. in Scottsdale, Arizona shares, “Our temporary placements are down 42%, family registrations are down 47%, and permanent placements down 51%. I think everyone is seeing a hit. I think that nannies need to know that if they want the same pay they have been getting for the last two or three-years, they need to expect to be patient when looking for jobs. We have many families wanting to start about less than what I was seeing two-years ago; they are all willing to give raises at six-months. I think parents are just trying to save money (like the rest of us). Of course there are those clients that money is still no issue, but they are not all like that.”

Betty Davis of In Search of Nanny Inc. in Beverly, Massachusetts discloses, “We will not have as high an increase in total annual revenue as compared to prior years. We will definitely meet last year’s total revenue levels but we might not increase revenue, as we have in nearly every past year.”

Ms. Davis adds, “In the metro Boston area, it is not just in-home care that has been impacted. There are many long-term family daycare providers in our geographic area who have closed their businesses due to lack of enrollment and have submitted applications to the agency for professional positions. Day care centers have also let teachers go due to declining enrollment.”

“Salaries in the metro Boston area are perhaps the highest in the country and they have increased dramatically over the past two- to three-years. I think caregivers, as all of us, will have to ‘tighten the belt’ and perhaps consider positions at slightly lower salaries (still competitive) than perhaps they have had recently. The economy will come back and if a caregiver is doing a great job, I am sure as their employers are more secure in their professional positions, their caregiver’s work will be financially recognized. Most of the families that we assist have also seen their income decline – no raises, elimination of bonuses, and so on,” says Ms. Davis.

She continues, “Nannies might also consider working two part-time positions to earn their weekly salary. We have placed caregivers in two jobs – a two-day job and a three-day job. Salaries for part-time positions do not seem to have been as affected as salaries for full-time caregivers. When our agency places one caregiver in two part-time positions our agency will always negotiate full benefits for the caregiver between two families. If a caregiver already has one part-time position (which she found independently) and wants us to find another to ‘match’ it, the caregiver might not receive a full paid benefits package unless we are able to negotiate with the other family – which has happened only a few times.”

Mary O’Connor, Owner of Nannies from the Heartland, in Minneapolis, Minnesota adds, “Right now we are at about the same place we were last year. We have noticed more families considering a part-time nanny over a full-time nanny. Our temporary placements have increased. However, in the last couple of weeks we have had a decrease in client inquires and new clients.”

Ms. O’Connor says, “Nannies should carefully consider switching jobs knowing that finding something could take much longer than it has in the past. Good jobs are available but it is taking longer to find the ‘right fit.’ Consider accepting temporary or short-term work while searching for permanent placements. Look at what might be negotiable because you may be making compromises in your pay range or benefits. It is in the nanny’s best interest to make sure their resume is up-to-date, CPR and First Aid is current, and they have demonstrated professional continuing education — these things get attention.”

Erin Krex, Owner of First Class Care, Inc., in Illinois adds, “Families are not offering the same generous salaries as three-months ago. They are shopping around more for the best deal. Most of the nannies I see are asking for more money than they made at their last job, which is understandable, but I tell them if you can find a good family who needs you long-term then take the pay decrease and wait the year for a raise, otherwise they will go months without a job while waiting for the desired salary.”

Some agency owners have seen no affect from the economic recession. For example, Starla Smith of HouseholdStaffing.com in Pennsylvania says, “Business is booming!”

Ginger Mylander Swift, President of ABC Nannies & Domestics, Inc. in Denver, Colorado discloses that she is having, “another great year and once again we are on track to surpass last year’s revenues. Nannies with experience and strong references will always be in demand.”

Jessica Gillan, President and CEO of A Nanny Solution, Inc. in San Jose, California shares, “I have had my most profitable year. We have placed 53 full-time nannies this year alone, and the year isn’t over. I have had parents tell me that they recently sold stocks to be able to afford one of our high caliber nannies in addition to our placement fees. I have seen three agencies in the bay area go under within the last six-months, I advertise my services to the business and medicals professionals who are less affected by the economy, since I placed a nanny with a doctor at Stanford, the whole hospital calls me now. Believe it or not, this economy can be a blessing in disguise for the nanny industry. More mothers are going back to work and those families need nannies. If this truly is your career then you must take the good with the bad, the economy will make a return. In the meantime, stay off craigslist where the parents who are looking for a cheap deal are on there and as a result only want to offer below market wages. Parents use agencies because they want the whole package and they are aware of the placement fees and higher salaries. Parents want a polished and a committed professional nanny.”

Wendy Sachs, President of The Philadelphia Nanny Network, Inc. explains, “We have not noticed a decline in our business in any way due to the economic recession. We have seen families deciding to opt out of using our service telling us it’s because of the economy but we are still getting new clients in to replace that attrition.”

Ms. Sachs continues, “With more people getting laid-off, the pool will become flooded with people looking for work, reassess moving out of job at this time, may be wiser to hold onto the job they are currently in.”

Elizabeth Walsh, Owner of NannyQuest, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia explains, “Our clientele seem to be above the financial storm. I suggest nannies open up the parameters of your job search. Be willing to do a bit more than just childcare. Sell yourself by emphasizing your skills at home management, light housework, meal preparation, tutoring, swimming lessons, and so on. When parents realize that they can be more effective at making money because of what you take off their proverbial plate, they are more willing to pay top dollar.”

Claudia Kahn, Owner of The Help Company, in Santa Monica, California writes, “We have not yet seen a decline in our business, but we are expecting it. We have had calls from many good nannies that have lost their job and are seeking new employment. I also assume that parents will try to do the job that a good agency will do in vetting the right person to help with their childcare. There is always a need for nannies here in Los Angeles as there are thousands of families with dual income parents that need childcare. I am not only telling the nannies, but other job seekers as well as personal and executive assistants, and chefs to possibly lower the expectations of their salaries, and to be more flexible in what they are looking for in a position. Everyone needs to lower their prices including agencies, as this is a time when everyone is worried about their bottom line.”

Susan Feigon & Gail Hamilton of Feigon Hamilton Partnership recommend “Keep a positive attitude and keep the job you already have for now.”

The good news: Ana, the nanny that called Best Nanny Newsletter crying she had lost her job the first week of October has found a job before printing this issue. She has just signed a contract making ,000 per year as a nanny in Hoboken, New Jersey. For Ana, her former boss losing his job became her blessing in disguise.

Thank you also to Sacha Taylor of Nannies and More in Atlanta, Georgia, Susan Buczak of Christian Nanny in Knoxville, Tennessee, and Shari Kendall-O’Neill, Owner of Amazing Placements, LLC for their contributions to this article.

If you are running a home based business or just transitioning to one there are a few items that we have learned over time that might help you so you don’t make some mistakes. If you can’t manage your home and finances when you have limited money – YOU NEVER will when you do have money. The first thing my parents taught me was the best way to save money is not to spend it! Most people don’t think that way these days. In a business the question should be what would I make from my investment? Here are some thoughts to consider -

Money is Important, but It Isn’t Everything. Health and happiness are more important! That doesn’t mean that you should be foolish with your money. Fighting and worrying about money aren’t going to solve any problems and could, in fact, destroy your health and happiness. A bit of planning, a common goal and some serious focus will help lay the building blocks for a strong and sturdy financial future.

Spend Less than You Earn. This may seem like a bit of common sense to many, but it really is an issue when it comes to trying to save money. The term “Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget” comes from this area of finances, as there are hundreds of thousands of people that just spend way more money than they bring in, with the help of credit cards, car payments and other personal loans from financial institutions that see you as nothing more than great cash flow – for them! Currently the average American spends 101% of their income.

Negotiate

Everything is negotiable. How do you get the best deal? Well you need to shop and evaluate. Is the best deal always the lowest? Maybe and maybe not? Depends on the value you receive. When purchasing a house ask two brokers for bids and have them explain why one is different from the other and ask them what they can reduce further.

Get Pre-Approved for a Mortgage before You Begin House Hunting. When you put in a bid on a house, the seller looks at more than the amount you are willing to pay. The seller will give more consideration to a lower bid amount that is already pre-approved by the bank than a higher bid without definite financial backing.

Pay Your Mortgage First. Sure, your credit can go through the ringer, but you’ll at least have a roof over your head. Many first-time buyer programs require you to attend classes taught by financial experts, and this is one of the first things they will tell you.

Always Try to Pay More than the Minimum Mortgage Payment. By paying one additional principle and interest payment (mortgage payment minus any escrow payments) onto your mortgage balance each year, you will knock 7 years off the life of your note.

Don’t Try to Keep Up with the Joneses. Yes, the Joneses next door might have a colossal house, landscaped backyard with a kidney-shaped, in ground pool and two 9-series BMW’s parked in the driveway, but they also might have ,000 in credit card debt and owe on their three cars. Giving into social pressures or compulsions as an excuse to buy elaborate items is nothing short of silly. We have met many people who look great on the outside but are living on the edge of financial disaster.

Pay Off Credit Cards Before Other Debts. The world of compounded interest is alive and well within the credit card industries. While these companies love it when you only pay the minimum, paying a more than the minimum, no matter how much, is better than nothing at all. Debt is the opposite of cash flow! The more debt you carry – they richer they become!

Know that Credit Scores Affect More Than Interest Rates. If your score is less than 620, not only will you pay significantly more money for mortgages and other types of loans, but also more for your insurances. Your car, life and auto policy premiums will all reflect your credit. An adverse score may also keep you from leasing an apartment, or getting your dream job. Wont stop you from getting your dream home business!

Keep Credit Card Balances Below Half of the Credit Limit. Credit cards below the 50% mark create higher marks on credit reports than those past the half waypoint of the limit. Continuously “maxing-out” your credit card is considered to be almost as bad as a few late payments.

Always Pay Credit Card Bills on Time. Not only will you have to pay a late fee (as much as ) for not making your credit card payment on time, but that new fee could put you over your credit limit, which would, in turn, warrant another fee added to your balance. And don’t forget that your interest rate will most likely increase after all of these tiny instances, which will take it even harder for you to get rid of the balance. (Remember, balance transfer cards are only a temporary solution.)

General Spending

Avoid the 20% “Fool’s Tax”- Don’t Buy a Brand New Vehicle. As soon as you drive a brand new vehicle off the lot, it’s value drops 10-15%. Depending on the make and model of the car, the depreciation will continue to drop an additional 10% by year’s end and each year after for the next two years. By purchasing a previously owned or leased vehicle either a year or two old, you’ll still have a quality auto with available warranty while letting someone else take the major financial hit.

Buy Certain Everyday Items Used. DVD’s, CD’s, books and sports equipment can each cost significantly less bought used than if purchased new. Isn’t that how eBay got started on the Internet?

Shop Off-Season. When you want a new patio set, buy it towards the end of the summer (after the 4th of July) and you’ll pay roughly half of what you would have at the beginning of the season. The same goes for clothes and shoes, including for the kids. By stocking up during clearance time, you can save yourself a bundle of cash over purchases at peak times.

Don’t Skimp on Healthcare. Of all the ways to save money on monthly expenses, cutting your healthcare is the worst idea. Saving a few hundred dollars a year is hardly worth having to pay ,000 in medical bills a few years down the road.

Prescription Coverage Is a Must. Even if your doctor has given you a clean bill of health, you just don’t know what could happen- and with the rising costs of medicine, you very well be stuck with 0 of necessary meds at any given moment.

Ask for Insurance Discounts. Many insurers won’t volunteer discounts like multi-policy, safe driver and good-grade deductions on your premium, but will be “reminded” when you mention it, so don’t be afraid to ask.

Don’t File Small Claims on your Homeowners or Auto Insurance Policy. Too many small claims on a policy (at or slightly above the deductible) will send up a red flag to your insurer- when renewal time comes around, you might just get a cancellation notice in the mail.

Higher Deductibles on Home and Auto Policies are Usually a Good Idea. You want to try to save these types of insurance for the “big stuff” like a fire (on either), not a smashed window that will cost less to repair than your deductible (see previous entry). You can figure on about a 25% savings when raising your deductible from 0 to ,000.

Shop Around for New Auto and Homeowner Insurance Every 3 Years. Your car is getting older, so the cost to replace it is dropping. Ergo, some parts of your insurance premium should be dropping to coincide. However, some insurers don’t look at it this way and insist on increasing your premium. Shopping around for a new insurance company and policy from a fresh-eyed agent might just yield a lower payment for you.

Shop Around for the Best Interest Rates and Terms. Not all financial institutions are created equal, and no two offer the same rates and terms on similar loans.

Never, Ever, Under Any Circumstances Take a Cash Advance on a Credit Card. Not only will you pay a ridiculous interest rate on the cash you withdraw, you’ll pay fees- and interest on those fees- for the remaining years on your new, giant–sized, credit card balance.

Stay Away from Cash Advances/Payday Loans. At a national average fee of per 0 borrowed for each 2 week period , the annual interest rate calculates well into the triple digits. To put it another way: it’s cheaper to borrow money from the Mafia.

Don’t Count on Social Security. By the time the tail-end of the baby-boomers retire in about 25 years (the last of this generation was born in 1968), there isn’t a very good chance that social security will be paying out as much as we have paid in. A solid back-up plan, like a tax-deferred IRA or 401K will help to keep you from living in a shelter.

If Your Employer Matches 401K Invesments, Absolutely Get the Entire Match. This is FREE money that your employer is giving to you towards your retirement, but they won’t give a dime out until they see you putting money in it, too. Plus, 401K paycheck deductions are usually pre-tax, so you’re getting even more free money. And you can raid this money before retirement, without penalty, when you buy your first house. In some cases the penalties are less then the matches over time.

Starting a Home Business for Retirement Helps More than Your Finances. Besides the fact that you can make up to ,000 per year without having your Social Security check docked, getting out and earning an income, seeing people each day and basically being a money-making member of society will help your health, happiness and well being (in addition to your wallet!)

Don’t Cash Out Your 401K When You Change Jobs. No matter how tempting it may be to pay off that credit card balance or car loan, you need to pretend that your hard-earned, 401K-money was never yours to begin with. Otherwise, be prepared to pay heavy taxes and penalties, and work until your dying day.

The Feds Give Tax-Breaks for Retirement Savers. The amount that you put away for retirement in an IRA is tax deferred up to a certain amount each year. This means that your money is “hidden” from taxes on your annual income-for now, anyways. You pay the taxes on any money withdrawn from the account only when you retire- and by then your tax rate will probably be minimal, anyway.

Saving Money is a Positive Habit, not a Negative Burden. Parents who save money have children who save money, as long as the parents make a positive impression when it comes to the savings part. A habit can also be considered an addiction-and an addiction to watching your hard-earned money grow is not a bad one, either ;-)

Always have an Emergency Fund Available Equal to 3 Months Pay. Just in case of illness, auto accident or you’re the victim of corporate downsizing, the 3 month rule should be enough for you to get through without having to dip into any long-term investments.

Get Receipts for All Charitable Donations. Tax deductions come in many shapes and sizes, but none quite as comforting as the one you get for charitable donations. When you head out to donate your used clothing, furniture and knick-knacks, bring them inside of the building and ask for a receipt. Keep all donation receipts together, make sure they total over 0- (anything under that doesn’t require receipts) and come April, you’ll have an extra tax deduction.

Keep a Travel Log of All Work-Related Miles Driven in Your Car. Any mileage traveled for work-related purposes above and beyond what you normally travel is eligible for a tax deduction. If you normally travel 30 miles each way to work, and a meeting takes you 50 miles away from home, you can deduct the difference in mileage, or 50 miles-30 miles= 20 miles.

Booming Mining’s No Longer the Pits

]]>

EVERY time Sue Gogilis starts her shift driving the company truck she gives her steering wheel a good rub with a few disinfectant wipes.

Gogilis, a 34-year-old mother of two, was a dental assistant until last May. Now she drives a mammoth dump truck at one of Rio Tinto’s iron ore mines, hauling 230 tonnes of rock and dirt across the scorching Pilbara region in Australia’s outback.

“They need the bodies,” she said. “And so if there’s a body, they don’t care if it’s male or female as long as it can drive the truck.”

From the pits of Australia to the coalfields of Wyoming, mining companies like Rio Tinto are hunting for people to address a dire shortage of workers. A decade ago, with prices slumping, the sense of mining as a sunset industry left it with a workforce with grey hair under its hard hats. But these days, the industry is struggling to meet burgeoning global demand for iron, copper, and other key commodities.

Now, mothers like Gogilis, former math teachers, and even Detroit car workers are being lured into mining by impressive salaries, housing, and educational benefits, helping to transform mining from what was once a dead-end job into an avenue of advancement.

“We’re looking at factors like remuneration, but more importantly we’re looking at the softer side,” said Russell King, who leads the business development group at Anglo American, the London-based mining giant. “We’re making sure people feel loved.”

Skills shortages have become a common feature of the global economy, particularly in ageing countries. Nurses are scarce; engineers, too. What makes the mining industry’s shortages so severe is that the commodities boom caught it more or less by surprise.

“The industry was suffering a depression, and the best and brightest didn’t join,” said Marcus Randolph, the chief organisation development officer at BHP Billiton, the world’s largest mining company.

As commodity prices languished, students pursued better-paying careers elsewhere. Mining schools shrank. The average age of a production worker in mining crept up to 50.

Then came the China economic boom, and India’s. The Minerals Council of Australia, in a recent report, estimated that by 2015 Australia alone would need 70,000 employees on top of the 120,000 it has now to keep up with demand.

Mining recruiters say that industry salaries have climbed 20 per cent in the last two years. Yet mines are so short of workers that projects are being delayed as production costs rise.

Even the recent slide in commodities prices has failed to dent the boom.

The shortage is hastening the transformation of the industry.

“Ten years ago, we had one of the worst industrial safety records in Australia,” said Mitchell Hooke, chief executive of the Minerals Council of Australia. “Today we are the best.”

Yet the old image endures. “Mining?” said Russ Eason, who worked in Michigan’s auto parts industry for 30 years until he was laid off in 2005 at the age of 58. “That was guys with little hats and little carbide lamps on their heads walking around with picks chipping away.”

At a local job fair, Eason stopped at the booth of P&H Mining Equipment, which makes the giant shovels used in mines. Workers like Eason with compatible skills from auto factories and other industries are highly coveted by mining companies. Eason now works for one of P&H’s subsidiaries in Wyoming’s coal country.

With modernisation has come increasing mechanisation. Many mining workers nowadays need education levels and skills more common to urban white-collar professionals.

“You can’t just come out of the paddock and pick up a pick and shovel and go down in the mine,” Hooke said.

That need for higher skills makes life even harder for mining companies that are venturing further afield in search of ore.

Because of the voracious demand for their output, mines are kept running 24 hours a day. Miners typically work 12-hour shifts, usually for two weeks straight, followed by a week off. To coax miners to such remote sites, the industry has developed what is called the fly-in, fly-out job, in which the company flies employees to the mine and back out again when their shift is over.

That kind of schedule suits Brian Okely, a 42-year-old from Western Australia. Okely spent 12 years as a telephone repairman until he learned that he could double his pay in mining. In November, Okely started repairing trucks at one of Rio’s Pilbara mines. Best of all, he said, he gets a full week off to spend quality time with his wife and three children. “Family’s more important than money,” he said.

Still, attrition and divorce rates among miners remain high. A study last year by Macquarie Research and the Australasian Institute of Mining found turnover among mine workers was as high as 25 per cent. “They work long hours and they need people who are willing to travel a lot,” said Bruce Elliott, who recruits for the resources industry at Korn/Ferry in Sydney. “Young people will do it out of university. But then they get to a point where they say ‘I don’t want to travel now’.”

So companies are reaching out to young graduates like Avischen Moodley, a South African who was planning to work for an insurance company after earning his actuarial degree until Anglo American lured him with the promise of rotating through three jobs on a new continent over five years.

Mining companies also offer scholarships to potential employees. Anglo American, for example, is paying to put 1000 South Africans through universities this year.

Immigration is another solution. Australia is creating new visas for temporary workers, enabling companies to recruit from countries like the Philippines.

Few immigrants are likely to want to settle in a place like the Pilbara, where summer temperatures routinely rise above 46 degrees. Ultimately, many companies say, the challenge is to train workers from communities around the mines. In the Pilbara, that means finding workers among local Aborigines. Rio Tinto offers courses teaching basic literacy, part of its aim to raise the Aboriginal portion of its workforce to 15 per cent.

Until it does, the company does its best to make conditions acceptable to imported workers like Anthony Dekuyer, who left his job as a maths teacher in Perth last year at the age of 48 to start driving a truck for Rio Tinto. While the region may be bleak, Dekuyer’s accommodations at the mine sound more like a desert resort.

“It’s quite well fitted out,” he said. In addition to the gym and tennis courts, there is a 25-metre pool, he said. The rooms are air-conditioned, with free phones and internet access. Better still, Dekuyer’s wife works for the mine, so the two fly back and forth to work together from their home in Perth.

Women have become especially sought-after in the once macho world of mining, particularly as truck drivers like Gogilis. Since they tend to drive the big trucks with a gentler touch, they exert less wear and tear on the tyres, which are also in short supply. The number of women in Rio’s ranks has risen from just over 11 per cent in 2000 to 15 per cent.

Rio offers working mothers flexible schedules so they can go home to their children at night. Gogilis now alternates six days on and six days off to spend time with her daughters, age 15 and 10.

“I’m setting an example that as a girl you don’t have to do the mainstream thing,” she said.

European Short Term Car Leasing

]]>

An extended vacation, where you can drive around Europe and explore off the beaten path, can be an achievable dream. If you are considering a European vacation where you will have much more freedom and flexibility than with a guided tour, driving a car through Europe can be the ultimate vacation experience. The best and least expensive way to achieve this is through short term car leasing.

Short term car leasing involves buying a new car straight from the factory while you are in Europe, and ending the lease by having the car manufacturer buy back the car when you are ready to leave. There are two main companies in Europe that participate in this program, Renault Eurodrive, and Peugeot. This method of driving a car on your vacation has many benefits and only a few restrictions.

The main factor you will want to consider is how long you will need the vehicle. For a short term lease, you will need to lease the vehicle for at least 17-21 days, depending on the manufacturer. These programs work well if you have a longer trip planned, and want to use the vehicle for at least three weeks or so. You will be able to keep the vehicle for close to six months, which allows for a nice long vacation. The other requirement is that you have a permanent address that is not in the European Union. As long as you are living in the US, Canada, or a similar county not in the EU, you will meet this requirement.

There are many benefits to leasing as opposed to renting a car in Europe. First, you will have a new vehicle, so you can be assured its in good shape. If there are any mechanical problems, you will also have 24 hour roadside assistance included in your package.

One of the major benefits with short term leasing is the cost. By leasing, you will avoid the value-added tax (VAT) that can make up to 20 percent of a car rental fee in Europe. You will also get complete insurance without having to pay any additional fees for collision damage waivers. Unlike a rental car, you will protected from paying out of pocket if the vehicle is damaged without having to get additional insurance.

For many tourists, another benefit is the lack of age restrictions that normally accompany traditional car rentals. As long as you are over 18, you can lease a vehicle, and more importantly, there are no maximum age limits. With car rental companies, many have a cut-off age of 70, and they won’t rent to anyone older, or let anyone older drive the vehicle.

Starting and ending the lease process is simple. You can reserve your car, and complete most of the paperwork online, before you even leave for your vacation. When finished, you will be able to drop your vehicle off at a variety of locations that are convenient to your departure.

If you are planning an extended holiday, short term car leasing should be your first choice. You will have a lot of flexibility, and receive major savings over renting. If you need an excuse to extend your vacation to the required leasing period of three weeks or so, your car savings may help make up the costs of additional vacation time.

1 Day Car Insurance Cheap – How One Can Find It

You may be pondering going on a protracted journey? However, question how one can safely and easily drive the entire distance by yourself? You could possibly have an additional driver with you, and they could do some driving should you feel sleepy. If that is an option you are looking at you might consider getting 1 day car insurance to safeguard your auto and your self, while it’s being driven by another person. It might be you need to take a test drive of a vehicle, well again one day car insurance will give protection whilst you do your test drive. One of these short time period car insurance means you can drive somebody else’s automobile, or indeed somebody else can drive your vehicle, and have inclusive security whilst doing so.

You could also be under the notion that obtaining a brief time period insurance is a troublesome thing, and it might take lots of time and effort. However, that’s untrue. You should have the ability to set up one day car insurance pretty rapidly if you happen to want it. These 1 day car insurance policies consist of full comprehensive cover, and you may obtain it at an affordable price tag. You may get hold of day insurance plans for your family, a small group or a sizable group. One other benefit is that there are no obligation, free of charge quotations available for one day car insurance. Although the title is one day car insurance, you can easily acquire it for a period of up to 28 days.

Until just lately 1 day car insurance was obtainable only to the vehicle trade. The vehicle dealers used to opt for this facility so they might let their cars be driven as a test by prospective buyers. Now 1 day car insurance is offered to every one, even if you are not an everyday car driver, you can also make use of one day car insurance. The insurance firms have recognised there’s a requirement for this sort of insurance, and have been prompt to answer the requirement. Planning one day car insurance should be a relatively fast and pain free situation.

There are a precise set of minimal requirements before you possibly can contemplate arranging 1 day car insurance cover. These consist of, you have to be twenty one or over (minimum age may be dependent on the automobile). You should not have had any driving offences involving alcohol and or drugs in the last three years. If you have some offences regarding reckless or dangerous driving then you wouldn’t be considered. Moreover if you’ve had any kind of disqualifications in the last three years or have 9 or more penalty points, then you will not be offered this type of short term insurance. The rules are there as the insurance companies do not like risk of any kind. So should you want one-off one day car insurance, as long as you’re a average, non-dangerous car owner then you will get the cover that’s needed.

You should begin your pursuit without hesitation for 1 day car insurance under 21 and temporary car insurance over 25 assistance by going to our site Cheap Car Insurance R Us.

Drive Less, Pay Less For Car Insurance Cover

There’s nothing more infuriating than paying too much for something. Well, actually, there is one thing even more infuriating than that. It’s finding out that you’ve been doing it for years. You’ve been subsidizing the habits of other drivers. You just haven’t been aware of it.

It’s not that Melissa dismissed the notion of fastening her seat belt. The thought just never entered her mind. She and her friends were eager to begin their picnic in the country, and there was more hurry than caution to her actions. At some point Melissa lost control of her car, and it rolled over several times.

The vibrant young high school cheerleader was thrown from the automobile and left paralyzed from the waist down. She knows she would have avoided her tragedy with a simple, three-second procedure. And that’s hardly a cheerful thought.

Based on National Safety Council statistics, lifetime odds are 1-in-2 that you will suffer a temporary or permanent disabling injury in a traffic crash, and about 1-in-100 that you will be killed. Surprisingly, the majority of crashes causing injury or death occur within 25 miles of home at speeds under 40 mph.

Superior engineering is making automobiles safer, but the ultimate responsibility for safety rests with the people behind the wheel.

Safety Belts Are Mandatory

* According to the National Safety Council, passenger car and light truck occupants who wear safety belts cut the risk of serious or fatal injury in collisions between 45 and 65 percent.

* Ejection from a vehicle is one of the most injurious events that can happen to a person in a crash. In fact, you are 25 times more likely to die when you are thrown from your vehicle. The safest place in a crash is inside your car. Buckle up!

* If buckled in, you won’t be:

-flung through the windshield,

-pitched into traffic, or against a telephone post or tree,

-thrown across rough, lacerating surfaces, or

-crushed by your own vehicle.

* For everyone’s protection, back-seat passengers should be buckled in. That way they won’t become dangerous projectiles in the automobile cabin in the event of a crash.

Oh, and for the skeptics in the crowd, please note: drowning or incineration accounts for less than one-tenth of 1 percent of deaths in automobile crashes. And it’s easier to escape if you’re conscious.

In Vehicles With Air Bags

Air bags are a supplement to safety belts and are not intended to be a substitute for them. According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the overall fatality-reducing effectiveness for air bags is about 14 percent over and above the benefits from using safety belts. In vehicles with air bags:

* All passengers should wear safety belts.

* Place rear-facing child safety seats in the back seat of vehicles with passenger-side air bags. A deploying air bag can cause serious and fatal head injuries to a child.

* Keep your hands away from the steering wheel hub that contains the air bag. An inflating air bag could break a hand or fingers.

* If you have a passenger side air bag, kids under age 13, or 5-feet-3 inches, should ride in the back seat.

* Sit as far back from the steering wheel as is comfortably possible. You should sit at least 10 inches away from the wheel.

* If you are short, try tilting the steering wheel down and raising the seat to achieve 10 inches and still drive comfortably. If this doesn’t work, pedal extenders should be considered. The further away you are, the more efficiently the bag will work.

Pregnant Women, Children And Pets

* Pregnant women should position the lap belt as low as they can under the abdominal bulge and let the shoulder strap rest across their chest. Wearing both belts will protect both the mother and the fetus. In cold weather, unbutton outer clothing so the belt won’t creep up.

* Do not hold a child on your lap in a moving automobile. In a crash, it could be crushed between the occupant and dashboard or windshield, or hit by a deploying air bag. The only safe place for a child is in an approved safety seat.

* To be sure the safety seat is correctly installed, go to a local organization that offers to check safety seat installation.

* Whenever possible, children should ride in the center of the back seat, properly restrained.

* If a child must ride in the front seat, make sure the seat is all the way back, the child stays belted, and sits back in the seat.

* When you drive with your pet, use a pet safety belt.

Loans.
Loans, loans, loans that’s what everyone is talking about, on internet, on radio, on, television in news we see advertisement for loans everyday, everywhere. “You want to buy a hat, a cat, a house, a car, you can get a loan”. “Getting loan was never easier”. “Live life the way you want”. These are all the sentences that are clouding the media nowadays. And of course this has increased the ratio of people borrowing loans from banks and other lending organizations. A number of people are making their dreams come true due to these loans, which was otherwise impossible. You can get loans for multiple things like for starting a business, purchasing a house, or getting a car so on and so for. You can simply apply for the loan, buy your desired object and keep on paying small installments for years without even noticing it. Instead of waiting for long years of tough work to buy a house or establish a business of your own you can get some help from one of the diverse kinds of loans and benefit yourself from this golden opportunity.
Fantasies, dreams have no end. But in order to actualize them you need enough resources, now you have several opportunities to do what you always wanted. For different reasons or things you have varied kinds of loans. Be careful about the interest rates and other specifications of a loan. That will help you in generating the best results financially. You can get loan on really low rates if you play safe, I mean pay your installments on time and if you manage to pay it before time that would be more than good that will drag you in the line of good borrower, which will be very useful if ever in future you need to get the loan again. Unsecured loans are the most fascinating and tempting loan kind that has ever come across my knowledge. You are at minimum risk especially you are simply free from any possibility of repossession of your home or any other asset.
Whereas on the other hand the creditors are at high risk by giving you an unsecured loan as they provide you loan just on the assessment of your income and repayment capacity and therefore the monthly installments are a bit higher and the repayment duration is also shorter as compared to secured loans. But for everything you have to pay a price, there is nothing free and of course you are getting money without giving any of your owned possession’s guarantees, which is a very big thing? This doesn’t stop here; you have other benefits too of unsecured loans that can’t be overlooked. First you can find a number of companies who are offering unsecured loans and thus get it on a very competitive rate. As for an unsecured loan you are not to provide a number of documents with the loan application the process of the approval are much faster than that of secured loans. It can be obtained in the time span of as short as 72 hours.
Besides this there are other loans you can think of like secured loans but of course you should be dead sure that you’ll pay the loan before the deadline, as for secured loans you have to put any of your asset as a guarantee to bank, there are cheap home improvement loans, house buying loans, small and big business loans, personal loans, bad credit loans, pay day loans, car loans etc… there are just few things to keep in mind while applying or before applying a loan such as the interest rate, type of rate (fixed or variable), terms and conditions (repayment time in months or years), deposit (down payment), associated fees (broker, origination, prepayment etc.), insurance required by the lender. For best financial results see all the terms and conditions and be crystal clear about the things and then apply. This will give you ample tendency to work out your way out victoriously.
Loans are never (most of the times) an effectual, result-oriented solution for your long term monetary needs! Taking loans is becoming a fashion, I think more then 50% of advertisement on media is directly or indirectly about loans. But frankly speaking I believe loans are not more than debt traps. There are so many alluring names as payday loans; cash advance loans, check advance loans, post-dated check loans or deferred deposit check loans. But beware! Don’t charmed by such attractive offers, think twice about borrowing a loan before you go ahead with this and honestly realize, do you really need a loan? Is it inevitable? Is this loan for frivolous, like a holiday? Or for something real serious an urgent need, Can you borrow money by a more traditional way, I mean from a relative, maybe a part-time job or you can think of selling an asset. Try to convince your creditors for some more time to pay your bills. Find out what they will charge you for that service – as a late charge, an additional finance charge or a higher interest rate. Don’t put your foot into a trap yourself if you can avoid it.
Did you ever think why you drag your self in to a situation where you are left with no money and need loan desperately? Strive to mend this; if you are a lavish spender and you always spend more than you earn then it is a terrible practice. To overcome this condition, if you opt for a payday loan, it will be a “chancy solution”. Payday loan companies often take the advantages of your need and lead you in debt ensnare. Try to make a more realistic and practical budget, and figure out your monthly and daily expenses. Avoid superfluous purchases even undersized every day items. Their costs add up and may become a huge amount at times that makes real big difference. Also, put aside some savings, even small amounts will do to avoid borrowing for emergencies, unexpected expenses or other such instances. I know it’s simply impossible to write your requirements in black and white and consume money according to that but one should make a strict line that you are not spending more than this and this is only for your own advantage.
Check out if you can go for overdraft protection on your checking account? If you are a regular most or all of the funds in your account user so then if you make a mistake in your checking (or savings) account ledger or records, overdraft protection can assist in protecting you from further credit problems. Do find out the terms of overdraft protection. Want any help or working out a debt repayment plan with creditors or developing a budget, contact your local consumer credit counseling service. Almost in every state there are non-profit groups that offer credit guidance to consumers. These services are available at very little or no cost. Don’t forget to check with your employer, credit union or housing authority for no- or low-cost credit counseling programs. If you decide that a payday loan is inevitable, borrow only as much as you can afford to pay with your next paycheck and still have enough to make it to the next payday.
While taking a loan it’s never only the interest rate to take care of it’s only a part, there are a whole lot of other inevitable expenses that makes it really, really expensive. The rate on a payday loan may be 500% per year or even more. Borrowing 200 dollar for 2 weeks at 500% will cost you 38.36 dollar. Just compare this to borrowing 200 dollar for 2 weeks at 36% (2.76 dollar) or 12% (.92 dollar). Suppose if this loan is refinanced four times, the cost difference increases dramatically! In actuality, it will cost you nearly 200 dollar to borrow 200 dollar for ten weeks. Gosh! It’s a lot. Besides the insurance rate there are also arrangement fees and prepayment penalties to consider. And many ‘no fee’ credit lines have a pre-payment penalty. This is the way broker and lenders make their money. Do work out the total cost of your loan before committing? Compare the APR and the finance charge (which includes loan fees, interest and other types of credit costs) of credit offers to get the lowest cost.
Borrowing loans can be helpful when you are having temporary cash flow crisis or are facing a financial emergency and need money on a short-term basis. Don’t rely on loan or don’t make long-term planning depending on loans only. If you already have one loan outstanding, then you should avoid taking out another such loan. Also think about the aggravations if you can’t be able to repay the loan at specific date to the payday lender!! I hope you are getting my point. Now this was what I call a bird’s eye view about the loans advantages and disadvantages. But if still you are not satisfied and wants to dig in more to know minute details about different types of loans, I’ll give you some info about it as after all you are the best judge for your own problems and needs. Doesn’t matter what someone says it’s always you who know what you need to do?
I have already given you a transparent idea about secured and unsecured loans. Now else than this there are home loans, bad credit loan, bad credit auto loan, personal loan, debt consolidation, payday loan, mortgage loan, auto loan, student consolidation loan, business loan, home equity loan and pay day advance. See you can get loan for anything and everything. There are so many different kinds of flexible and non-flexible loans that help you to keep going ahead in life.
Loan products.
Pay day loan.
Hmmm…! The dead line of paying the installment of a credit card is coming near. And still didn’t get your pay. Well laugh your worries away. The payday loan will help you to pay on time. After you get your salary you can pay off your payday loan, but don’t make it a habit? For short-term loan this is the best sort of loan you can go for.
Home loan.
Everyone either he is a prince or a commoner want to own a home of his own, in old days people use to work whole their lives to buy their own house. But in this struggle the best boom period of life flies away. Now enjoy your life to the fullest, get a home loan and build the house of your dreams and live in it like a king. You can buy, build or renovate a house by acquiring various types of loans that suits you the most. There are mostly three kinds of it:
• You already own a house and want to renovate it. You can get a loan for renovating your house by putting your house for collateral security to the bank for the loan.
• Secondly you have a plot and want to build your house on it. Then again the place will be the collateral security and you’ll be provided loan to build the structure of the house on it.
• The third type is that you neither have a house nor a plot and you want to buy a house in that case you will get the loan to build your house but the house will be on bank’s name till you pay the loan fully.
Else than this there are different rules and flexibilities for diverse home loans. Like:
• The mark-up rate will vary for a salaried person or a businessman. It can start from 11% for a salaried person and 12% for a businessman though different banks and other companies may differ from this rate.
• For construction, purchase & balance transfer you can have 3 to 20 years times to pay back the loan.
• For renovation it can be from 2-20 years.
• For home purchase you can get the amount of loan that can vary from – 0.5M to 20M.
• Whereas for home renovation approximate loan can be form – 0.5M to 7M.
• For home construction you can get up to – 0.5M to 10M.
This could be the approximate loan to value ratio you can get for these different home loans.
• For Home Purchase – 80:20 for salaried employees, businessmen and self-employed professionals who maybe in the business for five years and 75:25 for businessmen and self-employed professionals who can be in the business for last 3 Years.
• For Home Construction – 70:30 for salaried employees, 70:30 for businessmen and self-employed professionals who maybe doing business for last five years and 65:35 for businessmen and self-employed professionals who are in the business for last three years.
• For Home Equity- 70:30 for salaried employees, 70:30 for businessmen and self-employed professionals who can be in the business for last five years and 65:35 for businessmen and self-employed professionals who are in the business for last three years.
• For Balance Transfer Facility – 80:20.
Car loan.
Car is not luxury anymore it’s a necessity; you are handicap without a car. If you cannot afford a car with your salary and trying desperately to save some money for buying a car but unfortunately every month something new comes up to eat up all your savings then get a car loan and make your life easy and you can use your savings in paying the installment of your loan every month. For car loans the rules are almost same as house loans. The payment will vary with the difference of new or used car, car model or price.
Bad credit car loan.
Happy news for the bad credit raters, now you can also enjoy the pleasure of shopping the way you want; there is high competition in those who are ready to give loan to those who have bad credit rating for car and even for house. Or if you are doing a business you can still get a loan. Actually roughly all sorts of loans are open to bad credit rater now. Though they’ll charge more interest rate and other charges but still you have a facility of loan to enjoy.
Student loan.
Learning is a weapon no one can steal. Education is of no comparison with anything, I think it’s a must get thing for everyone. But sometimes due to monitory resources one has to discontinue his or her education but now you can freely get education as much as you want, you just have to get a loan and study to your fill. Student loans for the benefit of students are on quite competitive rates and are much more flexible than other loans to provide maximum chance to a student to be carefree and get education as easily as possible.
Business loan.
Doesn’t matter how much good salary you are taking? A business (of course here I am talking about your own business) is a blessing. There is no tension of getting deadlines from your boss. No pressing for reaching office at so and so time. And there are definitely more chances of growth. Now if you want to start a business or re-establish it on a small platform or on a bigger level there are all different sorts of loans to benefit you in your goal. Your business may have helped you construct your home, now your home can assist you build your business. A business loan is normally against Residential Property. It is an evergreen credit line that the customer can use for his/her business expansion.
• Business loan can be for business expansion.
• Or for staring a new business.
• You can get loan for a small business set-up as well as fro a bigger business project.
• Business loan offers you the facility of availing a financing up to 70 % of your property value. So that now you can have a chance to avail a higher amount against your assets, you can plan your growth and expansion exactly the way you want to.
